Legal

Terms of Service and License

1. What you are buying

AnyCaptions is a subscription to use the Captions plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro on Mac. TODO(legal): licensor entity name and address, definition of the Software.

2. License grant

A subscription includes a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on up to 2 Macs at a time. Projects created while subscribed keep rendering without a watermark on activated Macs after the subscription ends; adding and editing captions requires an active subscription or free trial. TODO(legal): exact grant, restrictions, commercial-use wording; align with installer/License.txt.

3. Free trial

The free trial starts the first time Add captions is used and lasts 14 days (CONFIG: confirm length). No payment details are needed. After the trial the Software shows a watermark and is read-only until you subscribe. One trial per installation.

4. Billing, renewal and cancellation

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, who also handles taxes, invoices and the customer portal. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to the end of the paid period. TODO(legal): Paddle buyer terms link, price-change notice, failed payments.

5. Licensing checks

The Software contacts our license server to start a trial, activate, and renew its license about once a month. Rendering and exporting work offline. We may revoke a license after a chargeback or abuse.

6. Warranty, liability and governing law

TODO(legal): disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, governing law and venue, Adobe trademark notice.

7. Contact

support@anycaptions.com TODO(legal): company details.
